POLYURETHANE APPLICATIONS

Sorbitol is used as an initiator in the production of polyether polyol and polyester polyol which are the basic building blocks of polyurethane foams. It is preferred in these implementations due to the low viscosity provided to polyether polyols and polyesters, the mechanical properties and uniform foam structure of the resulting foam.
